Vivo V7 Review: Packs Power, Performance and Face Unlock Feature

Vivo, One of the Top 5 smartphones in India have recently introduced the Vivo V7 which is just the smaller version of V7+ and has an almost same spec sheet, Priced at Rs.18,990. Almost all company In India are eyeing for mid-budget segment which is increasingly becoming popular due to affordability and ready acceptance from consumers. Vivo V7 gets a 5.7-inch FullView display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Vivo faces close competition from Oppo, which also relies on heavy promotion and branding to succeed in India. Incidentally, both brands are part of the BBK Group in China.

Not to forget, Vivo is the official sponsor for the Indian Premier League through which it was able to increase its visibility and reach to the users. Coming to the Vivo V7, this is the same smartphone as the V7+ if one goes by the specifications. The Vivo V7 Plus was launched in September. The major difference between the two phones is the display size. While Vivo V7+ has a 5.99-inch screen, the Vivo V7 comes with a 5.7-inch display. Of course, the V7 is aimed at people who prefer a smaller device.

Another highlight of Vivo V7 is its 24MP front shooter with Moonlight flash. Though there’s no dual camera setup, both the front and rear cameras support Bokeh mode, which lets users click pictures with the subject in sharp focus, while the background is blurred. I was able to spend a few days with all new Vivo V7, and here’s My full review.

Vivo V7 has a great design and comes with a full metal unibody. Full View Display on the front with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The back of the phone has curved edges with muted antenna bands on top and bottom. There’s a squarish fingerprint sensor at the back and a circular camera unit on the top left that juts out a little bit. The design of the Vivo V7 is Premium, and the Blue variant looks Amazing, There are rounded edges, which makes gripping the phone much easier and also the weight of the phone is equally distributed so you don’t feel the weight of the same.

The Vivo V7 has a 5.7 Inch HD+ Display Panel, Which has deep blacks and colors pop Out to be well , Sunlight visibility is good , Brightness is Fair enough ,The Display is not much reflective as the Screen comes Pre Applied with Good quality Screen Protector and the Screen can be seen properly from different viewing angles

Performance

The Vivo V7 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Octa Core 1.8 GHz Processor which is quite Good in day to day tasks, it is Coupled with 4GB Ram 32GB Storage +256 GB of external storage Dedicated Micro Sd Card Slot  , General apps like Facebook, Whatsapp and emails open quickly , Multitasking on this phone is also quite good , many of the apps are retained in the Memory. This phone runs on Vivo`s Custom Skin FunTouch and is based on Android Nougat, The Best Part I have Received 2 software updates to fix bugs in my usage of 10 days, Few apps are pre-installed, rest its free from any bloatware, This phone ships with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. There is rarely any lag.

Face Unlock Feature 

The Face Unlock feature on the Vivo V7 is mostly accurate and pretty quick, I found this feature pretty useful, and at a budget price it’s amazing to see such Feature included into to operating system by vivo.
