LeEco Super3 x65 Review: Affordable 4K Smart Android TV

LeEco Super3 X65 Review

LeEco recently launched Series of Super Ecosystem Powered TV at a launch Event in Delhi. Luckily I got the chance to enjoy the 65″ inch variant at my convenience.Buying a TV can be complicated these days with growing number of new models being introduced every day with new features and Today we are going to make that task more difficult after reading our Super3 x65 Review

Design

The Super3 x65 is a TV on a Diet. The panel is very thin around the screen. The screen covers the whole part on the front with little bezels but the bezels don’t matter on this huge screen size as it is barely noticeable. The slim design of 13.0 mm narrow bezel and 10.9 mm thickness. The Eyecatching part of this TV is the Yoga Shaped base which really looks great. The stand really compliments the TV and is unique in design and shape as no other manufacturers offer this kind of stand. The back panel is also designed keeping the consumers in mind and the important one are offered on the rear right-hand side.

Display

The X65 is powered by a 32-bit Cortex A-17 1.4 GHz CPU, with a Mali T-760 GPUwhich is handling the video department. The Display of the TV is fantastic and plays 4k Videos well. The colors are vibrant and well rendered. Due to 4k panel the HD Dish connection blurred out to some extent but then it’s not the TV at fault but the Dish provider. To enjoy the TV in full 4K mode get yourselves to buy a 4k UHD enabled a D2H connection. The MACE PRO4 picture processor  with fourteen professional image processing technology does its job well in maintaining frame-to-frame coherence without image trailing when watching a sporting event. It’s one of the best 4k displays at the price point which the TV comes for. Comparing with some of the top manufacturer the specs and Price of TV is really disruptive.

Performance And Audio

During the Super3 x65 Review. the TV performed really well and didn’t show any signs of lag or delay in performing operations. The Android version running on TV is 5.0 lollipop and EUI a custom version of framework running on top of it. The only thing I missed is the Play Store because of which I couldn’t install some of the apps which I would like to enjoy on the TV but then I was able to side load them. This android Smart TV allows you to sideload apks. The browsing experience on this big screen is great although it takes time to get used to the functions. The air remote is really handy when playing games on the TV. The Super3 x65 comes with Le Store which performs the Job of Play store with pretty much hand picked apps in it. There are plenty of features inside the TV like Colour modes, Sound modes. When I used the Xbox on this Super TV it really made me feel my childhood days of gaming. The Gaming experience was really immersive and I really liked the display and sound output. The TV comes with 6 Speaker on the bottom which are really loud and crystal clear. The Dolby and DTS sound processing engine are pure bliss. The speakers also produce bass which I found amazing as no other TV has such bass level output. The 3GB of Ram and 16GB internal memory really helps in watching downloaded movies and also helps in processing high motion graphics easily. Also playing .MKV (Matroska video file) was smooth and I didn’t have issue with the Mkv format

Smart Apps

The Super3 x65 Ships with the Ecosystem which their mobiles also have. The TV has a customized version of LeVidi and Live. The LeVidi is the App which shows movies powered by eros no and Live as the name suggests that show some of the channels live without a cable connection powered by Yupp Tv. Although these services would be chargeable in future but for now the Super Tv ships with Full Ecosystem which offer 150+ premium Live channel and 2000+ Full HD/HD movies from Hollywood, Bollywood, etc. The Le Vidi and Live app struggles a bit and often pixelates when streaming because of the Size of the screen but after some time of watching the pixelation is normalized. The Live and Le Vidi app auto decide the quality based on the Internet Connection. Youtube viewing was great on this big screen. The sound and video output from youtube was great and searching on youtube was easy thanks to the air remote.

User Interface

dsc_0023

The user interface on Super TV is really easy to use and comprehend. The Interface does not confuse the user with many options bombarded at the user. As the TV is designed Keeping the User can get well acquainted with interface quickly. The Setting option is always available and can be accessed on any screen. There’s a Le button on the remote which shows shortcuts for you and you can access with a click of a button. The Remote is super sleek and only offers the button which is required. There 3 Main options i.e Input, Live, and Apps. Input mode allows you to stream or watch programs through your cable operator or any other input device like DVD/Blu-ray player. Live mode is the LeEco membership module which shows entertainment and movie channels over the air through internet connection which at times struggles with the quality because of the huge resolution of the screen and Apps is the mode wherein you get to see and use the apps you have installed via Le Store or may be side loaded. Settings Menu is neatly designed and you can quickly configure or change the sound mode easily.

Voice / Mic Operations

There’s a button on remote which has a Mic icon on it and there’s mic on the remote. When you press the mic button on the remote there’s message displayed on the screen which says that this feature is under development. The Mic functionality is currently limited to Mandarin but in near future, you can expect the TV to be voice operated but currently, this functionality is offered out of the box.
