Honor 8 Pro Launching Soon in India A Tough Competitor To OnePlus 5

Huawei a parent brand behind Honor has announced the availability of Honor 8 Pro in India in the month of July.  The Honor 8 Pro has already been launched in European markets before making its way into Indian Markets. The Honor V9 is launched as Honor 8 Pro in India.

Some of the highlight features of the Honor 8 Pro include a dual camera setup, massive 4000mAh battery and an impressive 6GB of RAM. The smartphone will be available in Navy Blue and Midnight Black color choices in India when it will be made available from the first half of July. The Honor 8 Pro price in India has not yet been revealed.

Honor Phones have always a great attention and focus on camera along with the performance and this time it’s nothing new. Honor 8 Pro features two12-megapixel sensors with f/2.2 aperture, laser autofocus, LED flash, and 4K video recording. One sensor takes the images in RGB while the other takes them in monochrome. At the front, there is an 8-megapixel sensor for taking selfies.

The phone will come with Dual Sim slot with an option to expand storage up to 256GB. Honor 8 Pro will run on Android Nougat 7.0 with EMUI 5.1 skin on top and sports a 5.7-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) LTPS LCD display. The Honor 8 Pro comes with Huawei’s Kirin 960 which is a top of the line processor from Huawei and Equivalent to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 which OnePlus 5 is powered by. The lack of expandable storage on the OnePlus 5 will make a disappointment to the users who like to carry entertainment content on the go. Honor with this new phone has kept the option of keeping those users happy.

OnePlus on the other hand just made an entry with the dual camera setup whereas Huawei has been in Dual Camera since a long time and have been in the partnership with world’s best Camera and lens maker Leica. Honor 8 Pro comes with the fourth generation of the dual cameras with two 12 MP cameras – an RGB sensor for color and a monochrome sensor for details.

The spec sheets of both devices are very interesting and it might be a difficult choice between the two but at the end, Price plays an Important role, this is where Honor can make a difference. A great price can make the customers opt for Honor over OnePlus 5.

Additionally, the Honor 8 Pro’s retail box could be turned into a Google Cardboard viewer for VR experience as well. The smartphone comes with the Galaxy on Fire 3 and Jaunt VR apps pre-installed. Further, the company says that it has partnered with Gameloft and GoPro for inbuilt apps (including the GoPro Quik app) and is currently in talks with major e-tailers for exclusive online release.
