To get it running you need an separate apk of whatsapp you can download it from here
Just Download the APK and install as any normal APK in the mobile. You need to have enable option of installing Application from unknown Sources by default this is disabled in the system you need to enable this depending on your cell phone manufacturer you need to go to settings -> Application -> Allow installation from unknown Sources(enable the option)

If you can’t find the option just try installing APK directly the system would take you to the setting automatically to enable the option.
